Thanksgiving. A time to give thanks!
All too often, we say the words, but the words get overused or become impersonal, partly because we flip it out there, with little behind it. (I think we do “sorry” like that, too. ? )
But thankfulness is high on my list. I would love to tell you that my journey to Positive News For You, was just a continuation of a lifestyle begun at an early age, but…that would be a lie. I spent about half my life responding in wrong ways. And certainly, being thankful was not at the top of the list.
Today…
I am thankful…
FOR YOU!
For you, the readers, the supporters. You are the ones that read and encourage, share and enlarge our territory and readership.
Often people like you come our way and want to help.
I wanted to share some ways you can help us grow and change the world
- Read our stories and tell others.
- Join our Facebook page and our Facebook group. Follow us on Instagram.
- It may sound “foolish” but like our posts. It works the Facebook algorithm and makes our posts more visible. (Especially, if done within the first 15 minutes.)
- Sign up for our Daily Newsletter with all the headlines and specials!
- Share our posts, stories, and website. Sharing is caring.
- Encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to join us!
- Participate-commenting also changes visibility, but it also encourages others, that they are not the only one out there promoting a POSITIVE message.
- Send us stories about good things in your community or links that you find. (Pictures and videos are great.)
Now to some bigger steps!
- Become a writer or what I call a Roving Reporter. (Or send us cool pics and videos.) Currently, this is on a volunteer basis, but I plan to change that as we build momentum.
- Become involved in events we do or get behind when you can. Currently, we are behind the Recycled Percussion tour to raise $50,000 for children who might not receive gifts for Christmas.
- Come up with cool ways we can participate in your community or support the good things happening around you.
Finally, we get to the BIG STEPS!
- Purchasing Merchandise. All monies go into making “positive news” more visible to others. (Also, you get to get cool pics to submit!)
- Become a SPONSOR. Show your support by becoming a sponsor. You get newsletters, discounts and more!
- Are you a business that advertises? We need advertisers who believe in our mission. Talk to me about what works for you! (Whether $1 or $1,000 we want to help people.)
