1. What is your inspiration as a drummer?
Well my dad, he’s a musician and so are his brothers, his dad (my grandfather) was a famous musician in Yugoslavia, which is now Macedonia. So you can say I’m carrying on the tradition.

2.  Who do you draw influence from when playing?
There are many, but growing up it was Lars Ulrich from Metallica, Tommy Alldredge when he was with Ozzy, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, the list is on and on.

3. What are your biggest challenges when playing in multiple bands?
My biggest challenge being in multiple bands is basically time management. I also book both bands that I’m in and just that alone is a challenge.  As far as practicing for both bands, that is also a challenge, but the system I have works pretty well. I have worked third shift going on 17 years now and just like the song goes, “ up all night, sleep all day”… well, with that system I only have one day to practice for both bands.

4. What are the most important elements of managing your own band?
Managing a band is very difficult.  No matter how many members you have in your band you’re dealing with multiple personalities, trying to see how the chemistry fits, trying to see if everyone works well with each other.  Also trying to make everybody happy, and the biggest one of all is hoping no one has an ego or drama.  Those are the things that will kill a band quick. There is also making difficult decisions… people say that you need to treat it like a business. Well, I’ve done that in the past, and it didn’t work out well.

5. Where are some of the coolest places you have played or run sound at?
The coolest places I’ve played:  1. The Webster Theater in Hartford, CT with Hysteria about 13 or 14 years ago  2. Toads Place in New Haven, CT with the same band around the same time.  I played at The Hard Rock Cafe in Foxwoods Casino, played there twice, once with Maximum Overdrive and once with Hysteria.  I also did sound for a band there.

6. How do you keep your drumming fresh and creative when playing in different bands?
Being in a tribute band, you have to basically play the songs like they were written on the record, but being in the cover band is cool, because one of the unique qualities about Maximum Overdrive is when we play a song we try to make it our own.

7.  What do you enjoy doing when not doing music?
I enjoy bowling, playing the PS5, and spending time with family.
