How to Observe Companies That Care Day
All types of employers—large corporations, small businesses, non-profits, academic institutions, health care organizations, government entities, and other organizations—can take part in the day. One way employers can take part is by participating in the CAREDAYS Annual National Initiative. As part of it, employers should make sure they are increasing activities that reflect the “10 Characteristics of Socially Responsible Employers,” strengthen the local community, and foster a “people-supportive work environment.”
Employers can also plan other activities. Some ideas include providing employees with massages, lunches, or notes of appreciation from senior staff members, or conducting focus groups for employees where they are able to share about how recognized they feel and how they want to be recognized. Employers may contact the Center for Companies That Care for fundraising ideas and sample CEO talking points, employee email announcements, and press releases related to participation in the day. If you are an employee, you could talk with a higher-up in your company about the company taking part in the day.
And you can check out one of local wineries here in NH The Summit Winery.
