Alright, so today is my “Still Need to Do Day”! 🙌 I am pumped to tackle all those tasks that have been lingering on my to-do list. From organizing my closet to finally setting up that meeting with my boss, today is the day I get it all done! 💪 #ProductivityGoals #TaskMaster #LetsDoThis 💥 So bring it on, Monday! I am ready to conquer the day and check off those boxes. Who else is with me? Let’s crush it! 🚀

How to Observe Still Need to Do Day

Celebrate the day by making a list of things that you wish to accomplish yet this year, and a second list outlining things that you hope to start focusing on during the upcoming year ahead—this second list may be part of your New Year’s resolutions. Then spend the day working to check off things on your first list and see if you can complete them. Maybe there is something broke in your house that you’ve been meaning to fix all year. Today is the day to do it! Is there something you have been meaning to buy all year to simplify your life, but you’ve been putting it off? Go out and get it today and start the new year fresh! Do you have children and they are off of school? If so, have them make lists too, and see what they can accomplish today as well.

More On The Day

Still Need to Do Day, celebrated on December 29th, is a playful and realistic holiday that acknowledges the often-overlooked tasks that we put off until the end of the year. It’s a day for addressing those lingering to-dos that may have slipped through the cracks during the busyness of the holiday season and beyond. Whether it’s sending out thank-you notes, organizing your home, or crossing off tasks from your work to-do list, this day is about taking action to finish what’s left undone.

The essence of Still Need to Do Day is not about stressing over everything that’s unfinished, but rather about taking small, manageable steps to wrap up the year in an organized and intentional way. It serves as a reminder that it’s okay to have unfinished business, and there’s no better time than now to take care of the things that have been lingering on your mind. The day encourages individuals to prioritize and tackle those remaining tasks, whether they are big or small, to ensure they don’t carry over into the new year.

Observing Still Need to Do Day is simple. Start by making a list of the tasks that are still hanging over your head, then break them down into achievable steps. Whether it’s calling a friend you’ve been meaning to reconnect with, tidying up a cluttered space, or catching up on reading, the key is to take action, however small. By completing even one or two tasks, you can create a sense of accomplishment and clarity as you prepare for the new year.

Still Need to Do Day is about embracing the opportunity to finish what’s been left unfinished. It’s a fun reminder that sometimes, tackling small tasks can bring a sense of relief, allowing us to enter the new year with a clean slate.

Be the change you want to see in the world.
