I was fortunate that as a child, I grew up with a family that thought education was important. They thought having a knowledge of the news and current events, was important, as well.
Each afternoon, I would come home to the New Haven Register and the cycle would continue. Add in that nearly, every family I knew watched the evening news and well…you get it.
For the most part, people could tell the difference between journalism and entertainment. They could tell who the “statesmen” were and who wasn’t.
I still am a news junkie. But, I also realized something had to change.
For over a year I have posted stories that are positive, uplifting and depicting the best of people and communities.
And I would like to share that with children. But, I need your help. I need you to share these stories with children and grandchildren. Or you may be a teacher, and want to share this with your students.
Our non-profit is about promoting positivity with children.
