Relationships between brothers are some of the strongest relationships that exist, in part because brothers end up knowing each other for a very long time. Not everyone has a brother, but if they don’t, chances are they may have step or half-brothers, or brothers-in-law. If not, it is still likely that they have a male friend they have become so close to that they feel just like a brother. On Brother’s Day, all of these relationships may be celebrated. Stable relationships may be strengthened, and rocky relationships may be repaired. Some sources incorrectly say the day was founded by three young brothers in 2005—who were ages 2, 5, and 7, and celebrated the first day at a Build-A-Bear in Las Vegas, Nevada—but it was actually created a few years prior by C. Daniel Rhodes of Alabama.
