The season of American Ninja Warrior has begun and the last show was just as awesome as I thought it would be. Not only was there my favorite Jessie Graff (Think Wonder Woman. Yes, she is the stunt woman.) and Lance Pekus, but as always there were some surprises.

One of the things I find is that this community it super supportive of one another. And it is not just for TV. Last year I interviewed Sean Darling-Hammond, and he told me some of the amazing things these people do for one another. {{more}}

Let’s look at some of the most recent runs.

First, Monday night’s episode of American Ninja Warrior, Sandy Zimmerman, the mother of three became the first mom ever to complete the course. She’s also the first woman to hit the buzzer this season and the oldest woman to complete the course. For Zimmerman, the win was even sweeter because the episode was taped the day before Mother’s Day!

Perhaps, next on my list was Sean Bryan. Sean Bryan is a Catholic church worker from Berkeley, California. Bryan is known by many as the Papal Ninja, for his involvement in religious affairs. Earlier this year he was found recovering from a broken ankle, and many were unsure of his return. You will get to see him shortly. He ended up in the Tower of Power run, and won.

Another great run was put together by the young man known as the Swedish Ninja.This was his run. Bringing him to the Tower of Power.

One of my favorite segments was the Wisco Twinjas. Their story a testament to the positive vibes that run with this show and the people.

Even in a loss, it is clear to see that folks are part of something. A community. (I do hope to do more interviews in the future.)

Here is the video of a man I follow. I have seen him overcome trials and he still keeps moving ahead. In this video you will see him and his family. What is amazing…is the end… This is Lance Pekus.

And before we get to the final, here is one of my all time faves. Jesse Graff.

Where does this all lead? Probably to more ninjas, more positivity and more support of one another!
