Today is the big day. Calling on all my friends, family, neighbors, local public safety brothers and sisters to help us help out this little girl. Sunday August 4th noon to 4pm Lemonade stand show of support in the parking lot of Time-Out Americana Grill 101 Mulberry Street in Claremont.
Here’s the deal:
I received a message a few weeks ago from a from of a friend seeking help in locating a visible location for a fundraising lemonade stand. This amazing little girl who has Epilepsy wants to help raise funds and awareness. Her goal is $150.00 via lemonade stand. They live across the river in Vermont on a back road so visibility would be of issue. We offered our parking lot but I don’t want to stop there. I know I can count on you to help meet this little girls goal in this Lemonade for Livy fundraising event for the Epilepsy Foundation. Please swing in and say hello Sunday and grab a glass of lemonade. Please share this and ask your friends and neighbors to do the same.
Thank you in advance. Nicholas J. Koloski {{more}}
I have know Nick and his family for a long time. There business is the epitome of a business devoted to the community. I reached out to them, and asked to be kept in the loop with regard to this lemonade. A few hours later, he shared this update.
UPDATE: (PLEASE SHARE) I want to thank all of you for answering the call to action. I just knew how special this little girl was this morning when I arrived at work and had a knock at the door. This little hand extended to shake mine and I got an introduction plus a flash of her name badge telling me we were ready for business today. Once we helped set up for the day I hear the roar of motorcycles as not one but two area groups stopped by to support her. Car after car stopping in to grab a quick glass of lemonade. Her goal of $150.00, I just knew would be met. An anonymous donation the night before (all smiles) followed by great community members dropping off 85 additional bucks for me to hand-off would make that so. I stopped out in between customers to check on them all day. Great spirits and kind words and visits from community members all around us. I witnessed some amazing things from folks who have chipped in with projects with us before. I saw what you folks all did. You are amazing. I was thanked by the family as apparently, they got the cold shoulder from a lot of locations that wouldn’t allow the setup. We don’t deserve the thank you. YOU all do. With the online donations and the visits today you took her goal of $150.00 and made that into $1513.00. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I made a little friend for life and you put some smiles on a little face. Bless you all.
Thanks again,
Nicholas J. Koloski
I am excited about the community endeavor to support this young girl and to help her reach her goal…10 times over!
