A Bigfoot Conference

What is tall and hairy and fascinates a lot of people, young and old? Sasquatch does.

April 21 and 22 in Hastings Nebraska was the conference in the City Auditorium. With experienced researchers slated to speak, such as Lyle Blackburn, who has appeared on television shows as “Finding Bigfoot.”  He also has a rock band and has had albums produced.

Kenny Collins, “The Bigfoot Guy” spoke also.

Sasquatch are all over the North America and Canada. All of the speakers had pictures and stories to go with them wherever they researched.

A researcher asked the crowd who had seen sasquatch. Two ladies and several men reported their sightings.

Keith Crabtree spoke about his experiences, and his experience as playing the costumed Fouke monster in the movie, “Legend of Boggy Creek.”  An audience member asked what happened to the costume and it was taken to a dry cleaners and it changed owners and the costume was thrown into a dumpster.

Researchers say sasquatch follow the rivers and creeks. They suggest that’s where one should begin looking, but it could always be dangerous to encounter one.

The host of the event is Harriett McFeely, a native of Hastings, and is curator, author, and researcher. She can be found in the Bigfoot Crossroads of American Museum in Hastings, east of WalMart.
