“We’ve got a special guest today, a dynamic individual whose career has traversed through intriguing and diverse landscapes, taking him from coffee shops to the cutting edge of Web 3 technology.

Buckle up, because this is a conversation that promises to be as rich and as complex as the finest brew you’ve ever tasted.

Caleb, it’s a pleasure to have you with us today.”

This is his interview with Caleb.

Chris: He’s an associate from my past work at MissionE4; he attended a leadership camp we held there. We’ve kept lines of communication open through the years. He’s also invested in a few sectors that are interesting to what I write about.

About Caleb:
He’s pretty heavily invested in the world of technology. Since he was relatively young, he’s been around computers and working on them, including installing particular software.

He thrives in leadership positions as well as positions where he can learn about leadership qualities.

From the transcript:
I got into the web three space, I was lured in by these NFTs. And won’t lie, I saw people making massive returns on NFTs. I was like, what is going on here? This is cool. This is a new way of doing things. I mean, like everybody else thought this was going to change everything it can. But 1s the underlying technology of Web3 is what attracted me and I saw the potential. This could change everything. This brings accountability to corporations. This gives potential ownership to people. Everything we do is on the internet. The internet runs our lives right now and people have no idea. There was a statistic that was just shown a couple of months ago. I know I should know the reference, but there are actually a couple of reports that are like this. You can look this up. Corporate professionals are spending two hours 1s on the internet every day. Just on content. Just on entertainment content. Whether that’s business, it doesn’t. It doesn’t matter. It’s all entertainment now. TikTok reels short form, two hours average. This is corporate professionals, people that are making over 100, two, 300,000 a year. They are spending an average of two hours a day on content. That’s where we’ve come, where the internet is so infused into our lives. Web three is it’s not a question of is it going to happen? It’s it’s. And not even when it’s it’s how soon can we get this to to get going. So that’s my dilemma. Web three is a bad reputation and need to figure out how I’m going to bring this technology to the world, because we need this. This brings people real accountability, real ownership over a digital asset. We’ve never heard of anything like this. This makes that possible. It’s a very magical technology. It really is. It’s not it’s not fake. Developers that study this how blockchain works. It’s real. It’s crazy. So now I’m going to say I went from that. I came from a computer background. And then I also really liked business, you know, got an, you know, Shark Tank and all that really kickstarted that for me. But, you know, I combine those two not because, you know, I couldn’t pick between the two, but because they work in harmony. They’re synergistic. Computers have
changed business and the way that we run our lives since the 40s, when Alan Turing invented the computer, um, which I’ll end, I’ll lend everything I just said this rant with this final thing is that I made a web three, because blockchain tech is the most revolutionary technology in computing since Alan Turing invented the computer in the 1940s or 50 or whatever. That I think it was in 1940s or 30s. Maybe it was. It was something about he invented it to solve the code of 1s that, the that the enemy was using.

Chris LaFreniere

Chris LaFreniere

From an early age, Chris LaFreniere became interested in the written word, as well as finding his voice. He was quite regularly told by teachers, both in a positive way as well as a negative way, that his style of writing was akin to the way he thought. In one encounter with a teacher, she advised him that he should go into journalism because she believed he would do well.

Chris has been writing for close to a decade now, starting off as simply a way to get his views and opinions out via a blog, which over time has morphed into a more polished style as well as a new arena. One of which some individuals have referred to as “citizen journalism.” Writing is a passion for Chris and a place where he truly believes he’s found his voice. He also presently works as a copywriter.
