Reasons for having Crystal on the podcast:
Electric crystal crafts
The decision to extend an invitation to Crystal Leah for a guest appearance on my podcast was born out of a fortuitous encounter at a local craft fair hosted at Calais Elementary School. While my wife explored the various stalls in search of unique finds, I seized the opportunity to engage in networking, although hindered by the absence of my DOT card. Amidst the array of vendors, Crystal’s jewelry booth stood out, capturing my attention with her innovative approach to jewelry-making, which she eloquently likened to the art of alchemy. Her unique perspective and passion for her craft sparked my curiosity, compelling me to delve deeper into her creative process and insights. Despite encountering minor obstacles, such as scheduling conflicts, our determination prevailed, culminating in a thought-provoking and enriching episode that promises to captivate listeners.
In the forthcoming podcast episode, listeners can anticipate an engaging dialogue with Crystal as we explore her journey, creative inspirations, and the transformative power of her craft. Through her unique perspective and unwavering dedication to her art, Crystal exemplifies the spirit of innovation and creativity, offering valuable insights and inspiration to our audience. Join us as we embark on a journey into the world of jewelry-making and creativity, guided by Crystal’s expertise and passion, on the upcoming episode of the podcast.

Crystal Leah
Host: Hey there fantastic listeners today is a truly special episode of Coffee on the Couch because we have the incredible Crystal Lee gracing us with her presence for the very first time on the podcast or on a podcast I should say that’s right it’s her podcast debut.
Host: So first question, Crystal, as you make your debut podcast debut, we’re eager to learn more about the inspiration behind the electric boho up-cycle vibe that defines your jewelry.
What sparked this distinct fusion of styles?
Crystal Leah: It actually started with crystals, collecting crystals, ever since my childhood, I was always looking for new ways to incorporate them into my life, and you know, I was always kind of interested in jewelry and jewelry making, and I just look to try to fuse that together and then from there, trying to incorporate recycled materials and stuff into it and give a new life to things that maybe didn’t have a use anymore for that particular use they were originally for, so it just kind of went from there.
Host: Nice, yeah, that’s pretty cool. Crystals are definitely unique.
Crystal Leah: Yeah, anything with crystals and incorporating them.
I like them in their raw form, but I’ve also come to appreciate them in all forms, including carved ones and ones that are shaped like, you know, like for pendants and stuff like that. And it’s helped me kind of grow and learn more, through that too.
So, it’s been a learning process.
Crystal Leah: Taking an organic material like a leaf and doing this process to it and then plating it and turning it into kind of a solid object.
And I learned that this technique has been used for a long time and in all different areas, including parts for our vehicles and appliances, all kinds of things.
It’s just a really neat process involving electricity and chemicals.

Chris LaFreniere
From an early age, Chris LaFreniere became interested in the written word, as well as finding his voice. He was quite regularly told by teachers, both in a positive way as well as a negative way, that his style of writing was akin to the way he thought. In one encounter with a teacher, she advised him that he should go into journalism because she believed he would do well.
Chris has been writing for close to a decade now, starting off as simply a way to get his views and opinions out via a blog, which over time has morphed into a more polished style as well as a new arena. One of which some individuals have referred to as “citizen journalism.” Writing is a passion for Chris and a place where he truly believes he’s found his voice. He also presently works as a copywriter.
