Jason Nappi:
Yeah, and truth be told when my family first moved to Maine, Chris, about 30 years ago, I was convinced there were no good places to eat around here.
Chris:
Mm-hmm.
Jason Nappi:
…And I tell them, yeah, I thought the same thing until I started getting out in the community and visiting these places and finding out there’s actually amazing food and amazing pizza in Maine.
Chris:
Yeah, for sure. I haven’t had the reach that you’ve had with exploring, but there’s one company I had on my podcast, Shofar Farms. They have a brick oven in their little—like the little transport truck that they cook out of, like the food truck, and they’ll make it all fresh right there.
Jason Nappi:
Yeah, I drove five hours to Shofar Farms for a pizza. It’s the farthest I’ve driven. I drove to Calais for their pizza.

Chris LaFreniere
From an early age, Chris LaFreniere became interested in the written word, as well as finding his voice. He was quite regularly told by teachers, both in a positive way as well as a negative way, that his style of writing was akin to the way he thought. In one encounter with a teacher, she advised him that he should go into journalism because she believed he would do well.
Chris has been writing for close to a decade now, starting off as simply a way to get his views and opinions out via a blog, which over time has morphed into a more polished style as well as a new arena. One of which some individuals have referred to as “citizen journalism.” Writing is a passion for Chris and a place where he truly believes he’s found his voice. He also presently works as a copywriter.
