What was the reason for having Nadine as a guest:

Nadine Malone: Host of "Keep Hope Alive"

Nadine Malone: Host of “Keep Hope Alive”

The decision to have Nadine on the show stemmed from a unique reciprocal experience, where I had the opportunity to be a guest on her podcast and, in turn, invited her as a guest on mine. Despite the challenges of managing a busy schedule, including unexpected snow days with kids at home, the exchange of podcast appearances proved to be a rewarding endeavor. While the experience of relinquishing control of the hosting duties was initially unfamiliar, it ultimately provided a fresh perspective and sparked a newfound interest in exploring opportunities to guest on other podcasts. Nadine’s presence and conversational style contributed to an enjoyable and enriching dialogue, highlighting the growing emergence of podcasting as both a medium of communication and a burgeoning profession. This reciprocal interaction not only fostered a deeper appreciation for the diverse and dynamic nature of podcasting but also opened doors to new avenues of collaboration and connection within the podcasting community.
Nadine, also known as Jersey Girl, hails from New Jersey but has called Texas home since childhood. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, she’s a seasoned Event Coordinator and Wedding Photographer, driven by a passion for helping others create memorable moments. Beyond her professional pursuits, Nadine is a devoted mother of two, eagerly anticipating her upcoming role as a grandmother. Whether she’s orchestrating events, capturing cherished memories, or belting out tunes at karaoke, Nadine finds fulfillment in both her personal and professional endeavors. Now, with the launch of the Keep Hope Alive Podcast, she’s on a mission to spread positivity and support, offering listeners a beacon of hope in challenging times. Join Nadine on this inspiring journey as she shares stories, insights, and encouragement to uplift hearts and minds across the globe.
This is yet another reason why it made sense to have her on the podcast, Given that the name of the digital newspaper is “Positive News For You.”

Excerpts from the podcast:

Host: Before we dive into our conversation, can you share a bit about your journey into podcasting and the inspiration behind creating a haven for these heartfelt discussions?

Nadine: Yes, a lot of people do ask me that, Chris, and I’m happy to be on your show and everything. So me and my friend, my friend just passed last year and It was hard to go through that but every time we called each other we would talk about I wish the doctor would hear me on this or maybe it was work somebody I just want to be heard you know and we would talk about different topics I guess for a while for over five years yeah and I just started thinking you know I’m in meetup.com andNadine: People are asking me if I had a podcast and I was like, not yet, not yet.And then I started to play with the idea…

Nadine: The old company that I was running already passionate about that I just couldn’t do so here’s the podcast world and I can interview as much as I want and it’s not going to cost over a thousand dollars, so yeah it’s very beneficial. thank you zoomHost: oh yeah for sure and you know it’s a few things I think of is we all need friends like that, that are gonna be there to encourage us too right?

Host: and yes the the other thing that’s kind of on a funny note have you ever seen Pat Flynn’s podcast not yet no not yet the only other podcast I watched was Catfish Oh Okay from MTV I think oh yeah so well so Pat Flynn’s podcast one of his I don’t know if he like copyright wrote the uh

expression but he has this thing that he says a lot where he sayshttps://www.youtube.com/@patflynn “the riches are in the niches” so…Nadine: Oh yes that’s a good line I like that.Host: Yeah, yeah he’s actually a pretty good one to listen to.

Chris LaFreniere

Chris LaFreniere

From an early age, Chris LaFreniere became interested in the written word, as well as finding his voice. He was quite regularly told by teachers, both in a positive way as well as a negative way, that his style of writing was akin to the way he thought. In one encounter with a teacher, she advised him that he should go into journalism because she believed he would do well.

Chris has been writing for close to a decade now, starting off as simply a way to get his views and opinions out via a blog, which over time has morphed into a more polished style as well as a new arena. One of which some individuals have referred to as “citizen journalism.” Writing is a passion for Chris and a place where he truly believes he’s found his voice. He also presently works as a copywriter.
