If you are like most folks, you have probably attended an event or two. Maybe a birthday party or a wedding. Have children? Your circle begins to increase to school and athletic events. Join an organization or a club…and you know what happens!
Over the years, I have attended my share of events. My most recent personal event was my 25th anniversary. With a guest list of over a hundred, I knew it would be fun! And my family would tell you when it comes to birthdays, I love to throw a party. It has been hard not to invite 100 people to my party each year. (Though this year will be different due to some family dynamics.) Not for presents, but together, cook some food and hang out. (We would start at 10 and go to 5.)
As a businessman, I have put together my share of events. For a few years, I was the General Manager of a radio station group and staged, covered and produced lots of events!
Events are where people come together. Where they engage with one another. Where they celebrate the reason of the event.
As we put together our nonprofit (PN4U, INC), I made the decision that we would arrange, promote and partner with events that are positive in nature. That we would develop events that would bring people together for positive things! That where something good was going on, we would do our best to get behind it! And that we would look for partners that want to promote positivity.

Last week, in the community I live in there was a local businessman who decided to throw a block party. The road was blocked off for a block, Jersey barriers up and booths, games, and food. And the people came. A beautiful, sunny day was had by all.
This is the kind of event I am happy to get behind. As I walked downtown Main Street, people were gathering, admiring art in windows (The Art Walk was running.), chatting with friends, admiring crafts, playing games, watching demonstrations and buying food!
I am looking to promote the good things happening!
