My mom taught English and History. And she and my dad wanted us to learn face-to-face, the history of the United States. I can not tell you how many forts, museums, places of interest, and more that we were brought to as children. I did the same with my children and with a number of my grandchildren.

Even today, I was talking to my daughter about taking her son and one of my older grandchildren to the Freedom Trail in Boston. I also am planning a trip to Old Sturbridge Village. 

History is really fun when you get to participate.
