This high energy band over the years has become one of my favorites. (I will be at their show in Keene, NH on December 28th with friends and family.) At first, I thought it was because I was a drummer, but really, it is deeper than that. I love what they do. I appreciate that they remember their “roots”. That they give back.
What are they thinking?
And this week they began a 50 state tour that will last 12 days, playing 15 minutes in each state. Why? To raise $50,000 to purchase gifts for 4,000 children, getting these gifts to them on Christmas with the help of volunteers. (This will be a world record for Guinness!)
Early this morning these guys were Arizona.
I think what they are doing is amazing and certainly positive news.
You can help them.
You can donate toys directly to the boxes in various businesses. You can locate these on their event page, Recycled Percussion Christmas Task Force. (You can follow their progress on the tour on their Facebook page.) You can give to their foundation directly at Recycled Percussion Foundation.
We are.
