🍔 Headline Highlights:

  • 🚌 Community Comes Through in a Big Way
Today, an organization I work with received a donation. It wasn’t our biggest. But speaking of big donations, FOX 8’s “Stuff the Bus” charity drive just received its largest donation ever! When we rally, we find that generosity shifts into high gear.
  • 🎮 PlayStation Goes Multi-Platform
Not being a gamer, I will have to defer to my grandchildren! When I read this article on Windows Central, I imagined that at least one of them will be excited to find out that Sony is expanding its horizons by teaming up with Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Gaming unity? Who knows where this is going to end up?
  • 🚗 Miracle in the Mojave
I post a lot of rescue stories. But this one is pretty amazing. A North Carolina woman was found alive months after her car was discovered near Death Valley. Reported by CBS, Kelsey Pittman’s story is a jaw-dropping testament to survival.
  • 🪐 NASA’s Bennu Sample Delivers Cosmic Cuisine
Since I was a child I was enthralled with space, the stars and all that is there. The asteroid Bennu reveals the ingredients of life—On their site, NASA says that scientists found organic compounds that hint at our interstellar origin and the mixes of life.
  • ⚡ Math Gets a Boost from Brain Zap
Who likes math? Who wants to improve their math acumen? This cool article comes from PsyPost. A new study shows that zapping the brain’s prefrontal cortex can actually help people improve their math skills. Light? Well, that was easy! Check out the paper by PLOS Biology.
  • 🎸 Ozzy Osbourne Airport, Anyone?
This week marked the passing of Ozzy Osbourne. I remember listening to him in a friend’s living room, when he played with Black Sabbath. And now, metal fans are making noise with a petition to rename Birmingham’s airport after rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. Shared by Dexerto, this is a fun story. Imagine a boarding pass that “screams” iconic?

Those are the stories of the day. So, whether you’re sinking your teeth into a burger or marveling at asteroid ingredients, National Hamburger Day reminds us to savor every bite of wonder and every layer of human creativity.

We gave you some big headlines, some big choices, and unexpected comebacks. And now let’s flip a patty, hug a gamer, thank a teacher, or maybe, launch your own playful petition. Whatever it is, we can make a difference.

What can we do?

Today, consider building your burger and your community—one bite, one kindness, one bold idea at a time. Do me a favor?
