Glenda Trecek purchased buildings that were doomed, and the brick to be sent to California. These buildings were stuck in time, and it showed. Four buildings that were named Cedar Porch, Hope Floats, Chantilly Lace, and Clover House were renovated by Glenda and her husband.

Clover House is a two-story filled with old and new home décor. The Cedar Porch is a
boutique with jewelry, candles, clothes, and shoes.

Hope Floats is an old-fashioned soda fountain.

Chantilly Lace is a party room that opens up into a courtyard with fountains, statues, a pond, flowers, and brick walkways, all reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans.

After shopping the ladies enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches and ice cream in the ice
cream parlor. A special treat of watching two peacocks walking down the sidewalk was enjoyed.

The ladies were off to the next town of Courtland to the Cider Depot where homegrown vegetables, snacks, and fruit can be purchased. A trip downtown to Courtland Days for a short while to hear music and shop.
