That means that in just 5 days of activity, we raised $34,070 for area small businesses in need. As many of these businesses have mentioned to me, every little bit helps, and they are extremely thankful for your incredible support. Today is…Holy Tuesday
Holy Tuesday takes place on Tuesday of Holy Week, after Palm Sunday and Holy Monday, and five days before Easter. Denominations celebrate it differently and with distinct readings, and some denominations don’t celebrate it at all. In the Biblical account of the week, a few things are mentioned as having happened on the day. It is viewed as the day that Jesus was given challenges by Pharisees and Sadducees on issues related to marriage in heaven, where his authority came from, and paying taxes to Caesar. It is also seen as the day when Jesus spoke of his “eight woes” of the Pharisees and commented on the widow’s donation.
