1. What inspired you to become a painter?
I was inspired through the art of journaling several years ago. I love to instruct painting as it blesses my heart to see others shine through art.

2. How has your painting style evolved over time?
Through the years my painting style has evolved from stick figures, watercolor, art journaling to mostly painting on canvas with a palette knife and loosely with paint brushes in an abstract/impressionistic way.

6. What is your favorite painting medium to work with?
My favorite medium is acrylic paints however I love to use different mixed media and collaging elements as well.

7. What do you believe are the key components of a successful paint night?
I believe that it’s key to cheer on a painter and compliment them in their journey through the process of painting.

8. How do you encourage students to take risks and experiment with new techniques?
Guide them as they are painting for the first time and reassure their progress. Help them to simply have fun and be free with their painting.

In all of my painting designs I leave it open for all painters/students to use their imaginations and take risks. I do this by showing them on my own canvas of the different ways they can be creative and take risks.

9. What are your favorite topics to paint?
I love to paint landscapes, florals, barns, chapels and abstract art.

10. What do you do to keep the creativity flowing when you hit a creative block?
Very rarely do I hit a creative block, however when I do, I simply start to watch some art lessons/tutorials and it will inspire me to paint. Sometimes, just taking a moment or two to doodle helps as well to get the creativity flowing again.
