A Great Car Show at Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole, NH

All you have to do is read through my social media or articles with cars, to know I am a car aficionado. I love cars. Since I knew they were there. My parents had crazy Fords, Plymouths, Chevys, and more. My first car was a 1936 Chevy Master Deluxe.

My grandson, Jacob, enjoys going to car shows with me, though admittedly, he is starting to embrace some of the newer cars, much to my “dismay.” (Just this afternoon, he entertained me with his knowledge of 10-cylinder motorcycles, Hayabusa’s, and more.)

We began the morning with a coffee together at a local restaurant. We came home for a few things and headed up to the End Of Summer Bash & Classic Car Show at Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole, NH. The promised BBQ food, apple cider donuts, a beer tent, a petting zoo, a playground and more.

Two Horse Power

We were glad we could be there as we drove up there. We pulled up and met a nice young man named Ray, who worked at Alyson’s. Jacob and I walked over to begin looking at cars.

First, we walked over to see the deck that had recently been installed and the glamping tents that had been placed on the back of the pond. Gorgeous. We wandered over to the new petting zoo before seeing all the amazing cars.

And the cars were beautiful!

I told friends that one of my favorite things about being at a car show is seeing the uniqueness of each vehicle. For some, it is the paint or the lack of paint! The nuances, the add-ons, and the personal touches.

I love the conversations with owners. How they got the vehicle, and what they did with it. The history of not only the vehicle but the family itself.

Over the next few weeks, my family and I will be at several remaining car shows for the summer. We will spend a week in Lake George at the one we have attended every year since forever.

Kudos to the folks who produced the show at Alyson’s.

Clearly, I love car shows and this was a beautiful place to have one. (Maybe we will get the opportunity to do more with 360, video, etc, up there soon.)
