He quit his job and everyone was happy. Brett Decker resigned his job as a maintenance tech at Smith County Memorial Hospital to go to Kansas Highway Patrol School. Brett had worked at the hospital through the construction of the new hospital almost a year-and-a-half ago. There have been many steps to being accepted into highway patrol school located in Salina, Kansas. {{more}}
Brett is witty and funny, never in a bad mood, and everyone is going to miss his teasing. The hospital employees surprised him with baked goods and treats and a small gift. It was a small going away party.
His first assignment will be in Western Kansas.
