Having Fun At Frogg Brewing Cruise Night
1955 Chevy Bel Air with a Super Paint Job
Jacob and I had planned to head over to Frogg Brewing for what is their Wednesday Night Car Shows. The shows run from 4-7, and a lot of the drivers get their early so they can park in the shade. One of the best things about this show is the cars park on the grass, so even when it is hotter, there is no pavement heating up.
When we arrived around 4, there were about 10 cars and when we left a few hours later the count was over 40.
We knew some of the earlier drivers and went over and spoke to them while other cars were pulling in.
Ford Wagon Gasser
One of Jacob’s faves of the newer cars, was Josh’s Aston Martin. (He is an area businessman.) We spent some time talking cars and business.
We also spent time with our friend, Bob, who was there with his Pontiac Trans Am.
One of the things we love about going to shows like this is there are always new cars that show up, like the Stutz that pulled up. It was gorgeous and you can see it in the pictures.
There were also some great paint jobs. A ‘55 Chevy Bel Air that was blue and white was beautiful. A Ford Wagon with a lattice top. A cool skull paint job
There was a cool 1969 Chevy that was for sale for $59K.
I think my 2 faves were the Ford Wagon gasser and the Stutz.
But, as I said, each week there will be different cars as well as the regulars.
Frogg not only provides a great location for the show, but they also have a food truck, as well as their line of crafted beers they make.
Nice paint job with a skull
For Jacob and I, it is our time to do something together that we both. Even as we took a break and had a drink up on the patio, we got to talk cars with some of the owners.
If you have never been to a local car show, I encourage you to take the time.
Every show is the same and every show is different. I find that most folks are interested in seeing shows continue.
I want to share a couple of things I have shared with my family about shows. Let’s call it car show etiquette.
Car show etiquette is essential for ensuring a positive experience for all attendees, exhibitors, and organizers. Here are some key guidelines to follow when attending a car show:
- Respect the Vehicles: Treat all vehicles on display with care and respect. Avoid touching the cars unless given permission by the owner, and never lean on or sit on them. Remember that many of these vehicles are rare or valuable, and even minor damage can be costly to repair.

- Observe Quiet Zones: Some areas of the car show may be designated as “quiet zones” where judging or special activities are taking place. Respect these areas by keeping noise to a minimum and refraining from unnecessary conversations or distractions.
- Follow Parking Instructions: If you’re bringing a vehicle to the car show, follow the parking instructions provided by organizers. Park only in designated areas and follow any guidelines regarding spacing, alignment, and vehicle positioning. This helps ensure that all vehicles are displayed in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- Keep Walkways Clear: Avoid blocking walkways or aisles with chairs, coolers, or other personal items. Keep these areas clear to allow easy access for other attendees and to prevent congestion or tripping hazards.
- Mind Your Pets: While some car shows may allow pets, it’s important to keep them under control at all times and clean up after them. Be mindful of other attendees who may be uncomfortable around animals, and respect any rules or regulations regarding pets at the event.
- Ask Permission for Photos: Always ask for permission before taking photos of vehicles or posing with them. Many owners are happy to share their cars with enthusiasts but appreciate being asked first. Be courteous and respectful when interacting with owners and their vehicles.
- Dispose of Trash Properly: Help keep the car show grounds clean by disposing of trash and recyclables in designated bins. Avoid littering or leaving behind personal items, food wrappers, or other debris that could detract from the event’s appearance.
- Respect Personal Space: Be mindful of personal space when interacting with other attendees or exhibitors. Avoid crowding around vehicles or blocking others’ views, and be courteous when admiring cars or striking up conversations with owners.
- Follow Event Guidelines: Familiarize yourself with any rules, regulations, or guidelines provided by event organizers, and adhere to them throughout the duration of the car show. This includes rules regarding photography, alcohol consumption, smoking, and other activities that may impact the safety or enjoyment of attendees.
- Be Polite and Courteous: Above all, be polite, courteous, and respectful to everyone you encounter at the car show. Whether you’re chatting with fellow enthusiasts, interacting with exhibitors, or thanking organizers for their hard work, a positive attitude and friendly demeanor go a long way toward making the event enjoyable for everyone involved.
By following these etiquette guidelines, you can help ensure that the car show is a fun, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all attendees while fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect within the automotive community.
