Combine all those and these attractions will take curiosity seekers in many directions in the county. The big hit of the society is the huge scrapbook of newspaper stories including engagements, obituaries, businesses and interesting articles about the citizens.
One interesting poster is about Jud Wagner who was the town’s oldest living Marine. He was well over 100 when he passed away.
On the premises of the historical society is a church that was moved in, and larger building that houses large historical items and even a small handmade car. Outside is some equipment including a snow plow handmade by Frank Black for Lebanon, Kansas, over 60 years ago.
There was a raffle to be won and many prizes to draw for.
