The Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer in Grand Island, Nebraska is open again. Their claim to fame is
the house that actor Henry Fonda lived in as a child. Other old buildings on the property are blacksmith,
mercantile, and log houses. There is also Railroad Town.
The three modern buildings house items from a century ago and modern artwork, one building is all
native American displays and the third is genealogy research. {{more}}
There is a replica Pawnee Earth Lodge. Inside the lodge is Pawnee artifacts, and visitors view the inside
through chicken wire.
There is an admission to get into the museum grounds. Food and drinks are sold and a gift shop is in the
main modern building surrounded by water. Near the staircases in that building to the second floor are
4 small ponds to toss in coins.
