Nestled amidst the majestic Adirondack Mountains, Lake George is a gem that sparkles in New York’s crown of natural beauty. This idyllic destination offers a captivating blend of breathtaking scenery, recreational activities, and rich history, making it a quintessential escape for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.

This past week, I was on vacation with my in the Lake George region. (I have been coming here since I was 2, which was in 1957.) I love the Lake George area; I love the Adirondack region. Every year, I travel there 5-6 times. (It is a little over 2 hour’s drive from where I live.) Sometimes for lunch, other times for more time there.

This year we found a great VRBO home to rent in Diamond Point (I have already booked it for September 2024.) for our annual family vacation. Amazing place.

What brings people to the Lake George area?

Lots of things.
