Luca sits down in this beautiful post and beam building and talks to Eri of Post & Beam Brewing! Not being a millenial, Luca orders The Royal We – Lager (4.7% abv Refreshingly crisp. Malty sweetness.) A great beer.

MicroBrewery.com say, “Post & Beam Brewing in New Hampshire is Mount Vernon couple Erika Rosenfeld and Jeff Odland’s brainchild. Post & Beam Brewing opened its doors to residents and visitors of New Hampshire in July 2018 and hasn’t looked back since.

The brewery is housed in the town’s 3,100 square foot old Civil War veteran’s hall. The massive renovation project took almost a year to be completed, with plenty of monetary help received via crowdfunding. Individuals who contributed to crowdfunding the completion of the renovation received exclusive Post & Beam Brewing merchandise and social media mentions.”

This place is historic and beautiful. (One of my favorite items on their site, is to see their support of local businesses.)

Luca heads back to Keene to see Nom at the Thai Garden. A Main Street restaurant since 1998, this place is the real deal.

Luca and Nom talk about their history in Keene, both having been in the restaurant business more than 20 years. Then Luca asks what is being served.

Here it is!

SATAY-Choice of chicken or beef, marinated with Thai herbs and grilled on bamboo skewers. Served with our homemade cucumber sauce and Thai peanut sauce. Luca had chicken!
Pad Thai-The most famous thai rice noodle dish stir fried with chicken and shrimp. Bean sprouts, scallions, egg and crushed peanuts.
Chicken Himmapan-(Mild) stir fried chicken with pineapple, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, carrots, scallions and cashew nuts in prik pow sauce.

Needless to say Luca loved it!

The Arlington Inn & Tavern has been transformed from an old house that was built in 1810 to a beautiful inn & tavern located in downtown Winchester, New Hampshire. My family has owned the building since 2007, and always dreamed of turning it into an inn. Our dream started to come true in 2016 when we were able to restore the foundation. Since then the family has slowly been creating your home away from home.
