As a business, you are always looking to let more people know about what you do, who you are, and why you do it. For 5 years we have been giving business the opportunity to be part of promoting people, businesses, and positive news stories.
(When we look at polls, we see that nearly 50% of people polled think that news is biased and that it is negative in its reporting. We are told that negative news affects people emotionally in a hurtful fashion. There is an alternative.)
And part of being in business is to find those who are interested in supporting that process that gives people positive news. (This is what I am looking at for 2022.)
We have a couple of suggestions that you might find helpful in promoting your business.
“Lee, can’t we just advertise with you?”
Yes, yes you can, but I would be remiss, if I did not offer you some other pathways to let others know about you and what you do.
You can advertise, and we start folks at $25 per month to get ads on our pages. (Call us or email us to know more.) We do have larger packages that offer you larger ad size, as well as the opportunity to be in our articles themselves, and on newsletters.
“Can we send you press releases?”
Absolutely, but not all press releases will be utilized. We give priority to those who advertise with us, BUT we really want to put out news that promotes your community and helps others.
We want to put out articles that tell folks about your business involvement in the community. Recently, we put up an article about one of our area businesses and how they are helping an organization that supports those with cancer. (And if your business was written up for something cool like that, send us a link!)
Here is something else to consider.
Have you ever considered helping others? What if you were in the car business and you monthly posted an article about keeping your car value? (Changing fluids, air pressures, washings, etc.) It could be a video, an audio or a written piece. Each article would be posted at no charge to you. (Here is a real estate one.) Your name and link would be at the bottom of your article.
And we are always looking for sponsors. (We recently posted to find specific sponsors in the art and music fields.)
